Lost 2 chickens

I haven’t had the heart to write a new post. A couple of weeks ago something killed my littlest chicken while I was at church. Now I am afraid to let them roam free. I have a new coop with a safe enclosure so they do have a small space to move around while cooped up but it’a not the same.

I didn’t let them out for 3 days and then when I did they wouldn’t go far from the edge of the coop. I think they have finally gotten over their scare and are running around the big pen.

Last week my big girl died Blondie was old, so I had been expecting it. Still sad. My fried Julie who gave me all the chickens gave me a baby to raise so it will be a real pet. She is cute. I will call her Angel as she is getting whiter and her feathers are white.

So sorry Joanne, Most on earth have lost pets, so we can all relate knowing the heart break that is associated with losing our loved little ones. Maybe Blondie was reincarnated through Angel. That would be so sweet. Love A

Most of the people who have chickens don’t see them as pets. But they are fun to watch even though they can be dopey. Angel is growing. I will try to post a video of her.

My son has about 8 chickens, and he knows that habits of every one of them. I would say by the reactions to them from the whole family, they are definately pets. Love A
